About time...
This is a really great movie. It's obvious you put a lot of work into it. It shows greatly in each frame.
The graphics are pretty good and I get the stick figure style. It's okay. It's nice to see it in a different context than what is constantly spammed onto Newgrounds every day.
The story is just so-so, I'm afraid. It’s awfully clichéd and slow, which I will come back to later. With the cliché, obvious famous lines were even used like "Come with me if you want to live." Not imaginative at all, but it certainly makes a good setting for some good old fashioned fight scenes.
Excellently executed scenes, by the way, I liked the directing and there wasn't too much slow-mo. I'm sick of seeing the Matrix. Thank you for that. It was used for dramatization and cool blood-splattering. I like your tastes. XP
The greatest part of the whole movie had to be the sounds. The voice acting was absolutely terrible, except for the creatures. The rest was complete and utter nonsense. The music was bland and ordinary, but befitting so I don't hold much against it. The effects, though, were spectacular. The slaughter, the explosions, and the slicing of a sword were almost professional in quality, much like the general tone of this flash.
One thing that doesn't affect the score of this flash but bears mentioning, is the drab, sloooow continuation of the story up to this point. The first two flashes weren't even worth watching, but this one was entertaining. I think if you had spent less time with characters just standing around and talking and paced it better, you could've gotten this far by Part B and made Part A a little more bearable, if not entertaining as well. It's something I think you should take into consideration for your next work. You really need to work on your pacing. However, this flash doesn't have too much action with no story. It leads up to the battle well and frighteningly, with really good directing, I say again. Therefore, this flash is paced well. Try not to throw all the information at us at once for ten minutes, next time.
Overall, this is a success. The general style never seemed out of place to me. You merely used stick figures, that's all. The sounds are the best part of this and I hope continue to keep this kind of pacing going on in the parts to come and don't use them as fillers.
For a flash that is worth more than just one look, I give you an 8/10, 5/5.
