Fresh new look on defense games fails miserably.
This game gets most of its best (and only) points from being a rather NEW type of defense game--or at least one not experimented with as much. Instead of the enemy bringing the militia to you, you bring the militia to them. While this is a good idea for the first five minutes, the creator unfortunately ruins the actual game.
First and foremost, this game is WAY too difficult. You're facing machines that vastly outnumber your cannons, and it's not a rare sight to see your train get owned in less than a minute of perpetual gunfire.
Second, fuel and repair bonuses are few and far between. The minimap, while doing a good job labelling where objectives are, do NOTHING to tell what bonuses are on the other end. This is frustrating when you desperately need fuel and end up finding a $2000 cash bonus.
Third, way too wordy. People complaining about the buttons are unjustified. The buttons simply mark how fast the train can go (even though you really should just hit max speed at all times). However, there is a LOT of text to wade through and it can exhaust the average gamer.
The game itself is a good concept that is ruined by too steep of a learning curve. It took me over 5 tries to beat the first level. By the 4th try of the 2nd level, I called it quits. This game isn't worth the hassle and I can't believe you're trying to SELL a full version of it when the demo itself is hardly worth any merit.
Overall = Epic Fail.
