Reviews for "Tri-achnid"

Excellent game all around

Great game! Really novel! The controls where much like Rag-doll kung-fu. Cumbersome, but you get used to it. Ingenious.

I only have only a few quarreles: I don't know how many times I lost because I accidentally grabbed/dropped that freaking larva sac. It was really annoying in the third level where you have to rappel, when I was trying to grab the string and ended up grabbing the sac and fell to my death. Sometimes I got hurt and didn't realise why.

I liked how you narrated the story with pictures, though. That was original and fun! A few other graphical notes: I enjoyed little things like, how the claws would open/close, how when you grabbed onto something, little debris would fall, and how the tri-achnid would glare when he was hurting the big worm beast.

The music fit really well with the game.

Took a while to get used to it, but I highly enjoyed playing it in the end!

a very addicting and fun game

A very fun game once you get used to the controls of it, the music goes very well with gameplay. My only suggestion is that you make grabbing things a little less alkward.

Really good

The style, the complexity and difficulty in this game are above and beyond what i would ussually expect in flash. However, the controls are difficult making it even harder to control the tri-achnid. It is also WAY too easy to accidentally grab whatever is being held when trying to use the web (I chucked the egg sack so many times it that rappeling level). Overall, this game is exceptional. The issues with the controls etc. could be fixed if (and when) you do a sequel. Exceptional work.

Just.... wow.

I gotta say... this is probably the first time I've ever taken the time to review a submission. I just couldn't let this one go. Its probably the most creative submission on NG to date. While the movement is very aquard, once you get used to moving the legs in conjunction with the wasd keys and some of the other fine points, the movement becomes much more natural and quite intertaining. I've beat this game more than once, but keep coming back. I had to give you a 9 overall, though. Some things should have been obvious, like an ingame pause or some way of returning to the main menu after you've started playing. Also, the way you incorporated the web was amazing, though I would have liked to see a bit more versatility. Confining the web to within arm's reach seemed a bit restricting, but it still had more than enough uses to keep me entertained.

All things considered, this is an incredible submission, and I hope to see alot more from you in the future.

I cant continue when exiting a stage, but OK. Is a really good game, Thanks, McMillen!
