Reviews for "Tri-achnid"

Un-friggin-believable.

I love it. The music is great, very fitting for the game. The graphics are awesome. But things you can do with this, god-damn it's so awesome.

No kidding about the caption, this game really is amazing.

w00t????

ALL MY 5's ARE BELONG TO THIS GAME!!!
This game is great, music can be repetitive at times, but the physics are spot on, and the graphics are cool.

Are you going to do a sequel to this game?

Awsome game

This is a great game, very innovatative.

I like the way the spider thing looks, its soo cute. So, grapics gets a ten.

Im not sure what style means, but, i gave it a ten.

the music and sound effects were nice, gave the game a great atmosphere. gave it a 9

it wasnt really all that violent, but , i think thats a good thing. There are alot of violent games, this was a nice change.

Interactivity would get like 100 if it went that high, like, the way you move the legs and spin webs is neat.

It was kinda funny the way the spider sqeaks with joy when finding a larva.

Over all i gave it a 10/5

I guess my only gripe is that somthimes when your carrying the eggsack it will just bounce off to some random location.

Very entertaining and original.

Some gameplay hints for those having trouble:

1. If you're stuck on the 2nd level, look for the green switch on one of the floating rocks. (It mentions this at the beginning of the level.)

2. Your spider can hold the egg sack and other items in his mouth.

3. If your spider seems to randomly scream out and take damage, you either stretched out a leg too far, or you caused its head to slam into the ground.

4. If the level randomly starts over when you still had health left, then you either fell off a cliff, walked too far off the wrong edge of the map, or you dropped your egg sack off the edge of the map. The point of the story is to take care of the egg sack on your journey.

5. You can move faster if you move one leg, then start moving the second before the first touches the ground. Try moving the legs in a circular motion to turn the spider into a three-spoked wheel.

6. To grab the web, move a leg over it and hold the space-bar. To stick the web to rocks, stick the leg to the rock and LET GO OF THE SPACE-BAR FIRST. To have the leg just hold onto the web like when you want to swing from it, LET GO OF THE MOUSE BUTTON FIRST. I think this is the main source of confusion in using the web.

This game was amazing; I played through it twice. It took a while to get used to the controls first, but once I got the hang of it, it was the most fun I've had playing a game in a long time. I even swung under the endpoint of the third to last level and crawled around on the animal that is supposed to eat you.

I think people are complaining because this is one of the only flash games that has a learning curve, and they get impatient. The movement is not slow if you figure out to move your legs in a circular motion instead of straight across, and if you move more than one leg at a time. I managed to pull off some pretty funky crawling and jumping maneuvers by getting all 3 legs into the air at the same time. The dynamics of using the webbing feels very real too.

I love the physics of the whole game. The swinging, the gravity, the webbing, and the surface tension of the water is all very believable. My only problem is with the spider's actual movements. Sometimes I got the triachnid to injure himself just by stretching a leg too far and too fast, and taking damage by slamming the head into the ground is kind of annoying. I think the controls would be much easier for people to master if you could move the spider by selecting its knees instead of its feet, and we could avoid the self-injury that way.

Also, the text font in between levels is hard to read.

I'll be looking forward to sequels!

too many problems

I tried to play the game for a long time, but its just too frustrating. I don't have any problems walking, but the web is just too awkward. I find that throwing the tri-achnid is easier than using the web. The tri-achnid often grabs the nest when he is falling instead of the web-line. Also, I have no idea what happens half the time. I'll be walking along and the tri-achnid will turn red and scream and then it'll just start over. . .like a fell off a cliff or something. Repeating a level where you have no idea what you're doing wrong is really frustrating. Make the tri-achnid more stable.
