Excellent
Wait, so I'm required to write a review instead of just leaving a comment? I guess I have no choice then.
I loved this, and once I got a hang of the controls it wasn't too difficult. It was a wonderful experience and hope for a future installation.
As other reviewers have said the ability to attach webs to other webs would be grand, forgive me if you've heard it said too many times. My own suggestion would be to add a button that allows you to start the level over without you killing yourself. In case an unseen glitch appears. At one point I got my legs stuck offscreen far enough to be unable to move them back, yet not so far that I was killed by going offscreen.
Getting the last Grub from the cliff level was a frustrating experience that I hope no one else has to go through though. The hands are programmed to gravitate towards anything grabbable nearby, and that includes surfaces that can kill you like spikes. My multiple attempts at flying to the last Grub were thwarted because as I passed over platforms, my feet would drag me down, making it impossible.
Eventually I had to do it by climbing on the forehead of the Corpulag and taking off from there, which was hard because he's not something pretty to look at let alone climb all over. And even after that getting to the right spot on the cliff without going too high or low was luck.
After finally getting there I was planning on climbing back from the thread I had brought with me, but as I attempted to attach it to a rock. The line simply dissapeared. Which I assume is because the line was incredibly long. I managed to barely survive a jump though, and finally unlocked the final bestiary item.
For those of you unable to get the final Bestiary item, I wanted to upload it and give you all the link but the review function won't allow URLs, so you can blame Newgrounds for that. But I will try to explain it to you below.
Some may view this as a SPOILER:
5. ITTY
[Image of flying black dots over a swamp here]
The Itty are an almost
microscopic expod that thrive in
damp environments, though
harmless in small numbers, large
groups have been known to feed
on prey many times their size.
Apart from all the trouble though, I found this game a very enjoyable experience. I'm looking forward to your next game.
