my god...

PERHAPS ONE OF THE BEST AND MOST ORIGINAL GAMES ON NEWGROUNDS!!!!!!! GREAT WORK!!!!!

Excellent concept, mediocre execution.

First of all, wonderful game. I love the idea, it is fun and feels fresh. Unfortunately the controls do not live up to the concept.
Shimoo said that at the beginning control feels awkward but you later really "feel" the moves. I have to disagree (and I did beat the game so if I haven't "felt" it yet I probably never will). At certain times the legs would move at a different rate compared to other times. Also, the grabbing function has some frustrating flaws. Example, if you grab your web then the grabbing hand passes near the egg sack, it will release the web and latch on to the eggs instead. This made tricky use of web far more difficult than it should've been. Another problem I felt was frustrating was that the claws would latch on to any surface which made jumping very difficult. You would get the legs up in the air only just in time to have a few others hit a random platform, which would then jerk the rest down as well. Prehaps you could set some keys to control whether or not a foot was gripping terrain? One last issue on control, the head moves very erratically, which made it hard for me to grab the eggs sack with the head.
Another issue I had was the damage. I would often hear my poor little Tri-achnid friend squeal and turn see him turn red, and have a frustrating sense of confusion. Either make it more clear how you get hurt or perhaps do away with a life bar all together. The breath bar was fine and dandy, but I felt that having to concern yourself with life in a game where combat is rare and easily avoidable just turned walking into something far more difficult and dangerous than it should be.
All in all great job! This has the potential to be a ten, very easily. It was an enjoyable experience even if it was unnecessarily frustrating. I eagerly await the full game!!
