it's not a new idea
but graphics are great and it has really smooth animation. you should only add some bonuses or new weapons.

You know... I think these kinds of games are dead. They don't really offer much besides just hacking and slashing. :/
take a look at "Dad n' me" and see the difference between your game and his.

Not bad, but lacking.
I really am basically just beating a dead horse at this point, but I'll voice my opinion anyway. To put it simply, your game looks fantastic and has a good level of fun to it, but it needs more. I don't doubt that you'll release a sequel or a remake at some point especially considering how well this one did, so I'd like to make suggestions for whenever that may happen:
1: Add a music reel. The game is a lot of fun, but the lack of music takes away from the feeling of ambiance with the levels.
2: A story would GREATLY aid this game. It would be neat to know why this rogue samurai is clad in such shoddy clothing, and why these monsters are attacking towns along with where they came from.
3. Greater depth in the gameplay itself would INCREDIBLY improve the game's playability. Something more than the simple jump and attack buttons. Maybe have one for heavy attacks and one for light attacks along with a guard button. Just some stuff to greater increase the gameplay depth.
Basically the whole game is pretty good, but it does need more then just looks. You've got a great base for an even greater game, and I hope you develop it into something greater. In the mean time, however, great job especially for a first game.
