Great Game, under many aspects

Great game, overall.
Graphics: 8 - character/enemies are very well drawn, and the blue light effect on the sword swing is just awesome! decent backgrounds that could be more polished and varied
Style: 10 - style is, well... very stylish (in a sort of "ancient japan"-ish way)
Sound: 8 - the idea of singing birds as background is simply ingenious, but then again, some music comment in the intro or in given moments of the game (e.g. before a boss fight) would have added a lot
Violence: 8 - just the right amount of it
Interactivity: 10 - controls are very smooth and accurate, you did a very good job here

Suggestions for improvement:
1. it was a bit short, make it longer!

2. it was too easy to beat... you have a really good control system, now develop more effective enemies' AI with blocks or dodging ability

3. with all this "style" in place there's no story, just a guy fighting. develop a story around your game: part of it should unfold during the game itself.

Needs more variety

It's good, but I need some variety to the moves I can use, I'm jsut running around and constantly hitting the a button. There's no reason to do anything more than button mash and it was just a little too slow to really work for that. if I could have a couple new moves, some real combos and maybe a block, it would be far more interesting.

Excellent

The game was good overall the best part about it would obvisously be the graphics I am in love with that little blue streak that the sword leaves after you swing very smart idea. The sound was bar none also in my opinion it was a good idea not to put music in. Although the controls were solid they were missing something like a super move or what not of that nature. It got a little repetitive also. If you could somehow make a sequal and change these things then you would have a better game.

Oi!!

God damn the graphics are so bad ass. Beautiful simplicity..... but really it might be too simple. Limiting the game to a jumping and an attack button hurt play greatly. Although I was still able to do some fairly cool combos like sending a bunch of guys in the air with A+S and slicing them up on the way down. Such quality graphics disserve a little more complex story/sound/GAMEPLAY. can't wait to see your next game.

pretty good i like it

This game is a good game and it is certanly fun BUT it could stand to be a little longer and maybe have a couple of cutscenes. the boss was pretty easy and i didnt realize he was a boss until i killed him. On the plus side the game play is good and i love the way you animated the sword strokes and how they leave a little trail behind them. The game play is smooth and well done and Also i like how there are several types of enimies but some archers would be nice. Some sequels would be great, you could do them with the other years of the chinese zodiac with characters to match. For example the year of the ox character could be big and bulky and the rat could be small and nimble. all and all this game is awsome and is fun to play.
