First off, it really really needs a saving thing. Second, not really sure what happened, I ended up randomly losing after i just really pwning on one the bad guys. It says "Angry Zac Pascall defeats gladiator" but i can see in the background it says "gladiator defeats Angry Zac Pascall"

but this was my strategy, i put my points like this: 4,1,5,1,3,2,1. After the first match i put into 1 into stamina, one into vitality, and the other into strength. After that for the most part i put into strength.

As for battles i would taunt a lot doing damage until they got close enough to me, and dished out the rest. Like against angry zac, i did a fair amount of damage to him with the taunts and killed him in one hit before he got to me. I also avoided getting any weapon before the first three guys because after the 3rd guy they get you a pretty nice sword for free. I did buy a bunch of armor though.

The random thing was nice, I found that the random guys were usually a lot cooler looking that anything I could come up with.

i have to say its a real great game and i loved it

.......but really i cant beat it ive kept trying but even if i get past the first champ i lose to the next or worse....to a non champ behind him ive goten a good wepon and all of the first set armor [i never got the chance to get the next set] please even i few words!!! i need help!

i was about to give a low score for the cons in this game but well, theres the issue of my highscore ( cant save it... but okay though ). and then theres the save button missing ( just as everyone was saying ).
10 for graphics ( avatar hair, facial hair, colors, creative animations )
10 for sound.

The rest could do better. thats all. You savvy? Say errr... u happen to be OZ, mate? i hope u didnt steal. its copyrighted. Kudos for yer first submit!

Alright everyone agrees there should be a SAVE feature...definitely agree but it won't go in until the sequel which is a couple months away. I'll be sure to post it here.

There's a lot of frustration out there about this game but please understand it's just the first incarnation.

And RE the "bug" that tells you you've lost when you've won... I'm well aware of this. This is a limited version, I'm sorry that the wording at the endscreen was unclear. It cuts out after your 9th battle, regardless of if you win or lose.

For those who like the game, go to www.playaholics.com and you can play a deeper version of the game there. The version at Playaholics has 7 arena champions and allows you to level up to 15th level, with an unlimited number of battles. Alas still no save :( but trust me I'm hard at work on S&S 2

It's good...

Here is the obligatory "but" though:
It is MUCH too easy to die. Granted, this makes for a challenging game, but when you've defeated 2 boss men and have little wealth because you have spent it on weapons and upgrades and the likes, it is not fun to have to go into a battle that you are doomed to fail because there is no other option. As I said, it is a good game...it just needs more to it...more depth.

Fix the bug please

I was making it pretty far in the game and i beat some dude, but it said i lost. I love the fact that there is no save though, it reminds me of the old days of playing mike tyson's punch-out.
