I loved it, a really fun entry. The fight scenes are well realised and amazing to watch. The story is interesting. The custom sprites, the particles and effects used are all crisp and top quality. The sounds and music are top quality, and well used.

On top of this I think you do a great job staying true to the characters. Mario acts like Mario, Sonic like Sonic. Nearly every favourite moment of mine involved Luigi he still has that lovable charm to him.

I have watched this series from the start and will continue to as it continues to impress with it near professional quality, and entertain with its plot, action and humour.

One thing is getting clearer and clearer..

Dude.. I don't know if you like Sonic's Quest for Power.. but this is getting more and more like it each episode 0_0 infact.. when shadow said "just stay the hell out of my way" ... umm.. that EXACT LINE was in Sonic's Quest for Power 3 part 1 0_0 I know because I voiced it! .. and not to mention the whole "power up" and when shadow got knocked into the wall.. and then you see the vertical lighting and then horizontal lightning.. and even the same noise! All in Sonic's Quest for Power..

*ahem* .. well.. overall I love this series.. you have some extreme talent.. I can also see it has DBZ properties to it too (obviously ^_^).. for example the whole .. metal sonic rampage reminded me of the History of Trunks and then the whole koopa bros reminded me of the Ginyu Force.. well keep up the great work..

As you have already guessed. SQFP was one of my main inspirations for starting sprite animating. And I guess I couldn't resist using some parts of it in my series. (Like the power up flash). Although I guess I should cut down on that and try something new.
As for the DBZ references. The story is based on DBZ Trunks, Android and Cell saga (Mecha Sonic being the Cell character). And I had to use the Koopa bros since they are a lot like the ginyu force in many respects. XD

Time to review the forth episode of the SMBZ trilogy.

First off, I'd like to say, this is my second favorite episode of the series (You'll find out my favorite one soon). Sonic chooses to tell his devastating story about Mecha Sonic (Who I like to call the Can Opener). With a very sad theme it adds a sympathetic feeling to it. I like how it introduces Dr. Mario as well; Also, after when Mario and Luigi hear about Sonic's story I just love how they have Captain Falcon's theme; That made me laugh a lot.
Shadow swears in this which I couldn't help but laugh at. Shadow really suits a foul mouth for once.

Dr. E Gadd also get's introduced in this (and don't forget his nutty contraptions). The Emerald radar is obviously a reference too Dragonball Z's Dragonball radar.

For a second when the light turned, people though, "That's gotta be Mecha Sonic; I know it." If your a Paper Mario fan you probably thought, "That's a new twist".

Finally, the next and best scene. Mario, Sonic and Luigi try to make a sneak attack on the Koopa Bros but, as usual, Shadow comes to help, of course.

Now, to review the battle. This battle was great; the music was perfect for a fight like this; the fighting overall was awesome; the only problem (Which doesn't really matter) is that Mario and Shadow fought together, and Luigi and Sonic fought together. You'd think it'd be the other way around, don't worry though, it doesn't take points off. =)

I'm done with episode 4 now. I give this a 9.75/10 (I know, I'm being pretty technical). People are probably thinking, "This should be 10/10" well, I'm sorry, but nothing is perfect. Good job Alvin, best one of the four so far.

Would have been better if the koopa bros. had the Ginyu Force theme and more posing like them but it's still awesome. ^^
