Best game ever
I love this game. Honestly, who can't love a game with stylish characters, and unique weapons and sweet music! Must I even mention the great levels and intro? I've seen a lot of games in my childhood, and I really have to say that the work put into this is work worth doing again. I have to say, you can make your own maps and your own characters. And the changes you can make into this are quite superb. I do have to say though that some of the levels are insane. The feared Outer space and the dreaded Volcano are, shall we say, very unpredictable. The volcano especially as it is nearly impossible to avoid those magma rocks that fall. The streangth seems about right, but the thought of so many is terrifying. I can say that it is the hardest map. Even harder then the hard campaign. I would like to see some balance put into it, meaning, maybe fewer rocks, some shadows, or, hmmm how should I say this, some delay between each rock. The one thing I saw as very interesting is the weapon list and the rewards. If you make a second game, and I really think you should, it should retain these features. [Remember, the rules for making a successful sequel are, 1. keep the good stuff, 2. remove the bad stuff, and 3. include more features and the such. Follow this, and you are set!] I also like the learning curve and the variety of levels. Its very simple at first, and nothing but mindless fights. But later, around the end of the easy campaign with the addition on mines, you usually think of what you must do. A very nice touch I must say. The simplicity of them is unique. I would also say, include all the old weapons, and include some more. With more weapons as well, you can include some more levels. Speaking of weapons, how great is it that you paired them with a level that is fitting. The ice beam at the ice world! I mean, that just makes it feel right. I gave it a 9/10. I also didn't like how it would change quality sometimes for certain levels. It means you have to change it back and it threw off your focus. Also, about the levels, I may not like the insanity of some, but that doesn't mean trash them altogether. There were a few I really liked. Like the traps of the Ruins, and the missiles of Ground-7. If you were UNABLE to move, then you would feel actual fear or something close to it. Keep this up!
