Don't leave.
For me, the SS was Newgrounds. I came to Newgrounds in the fall of 05 and immediatly I saw that SS films were the best. Granted it took me awhile to learn the history of newgrounds, clock crew, star syndicate, etc. but I had a great time watching hundreds of daily toons and piecing together the times before me.
I loved the SS. I loved the awful flashes. I loved the penis flashes, piclownjew (which I downloaded the sound for off your public sound board), seizure flashes, offensive flashes. I loved how you took on authority figures. As a teenager I loved your anti-wade films.
But the best part of the SS was their ability to once in awhile make a good flash movie. Like death to P-bot as an example. You never knew if a SS movie would be good or bad, that was the beauty of it all.
Poor quality flashes with rare good flashes is what made the SS good.
Food - If the SS made all their flashes somewhat good, none of them would ever stand out. The SS would lose their character. Instead of being the terrorists of newsgrounds they would be another pussy clan like the clock crew. While I like the clock crew and I love their flashes on clockday, that isn't what the SS should be like.
If the star_syndicate shuts down I will be forced to make a new star syndicate. Even though I have never made a flash before and don't even know what program to use, I'll do it. It'll be like how the starsyndicate first started out many years ago.
The SS is not ready to die just yet.
