It's very fun
However I was doing training mode and could find no way of getting back to the main menu without closing it all out and loading it up again. Is there something I missed? Other than that I had a blast playing it. A problem I had with the gameplay was that you slid so much when you moved. Also I was a bit annoyed with using "o" and "p" for jumping and attacking. Customizable controls would be a good thing to consider for your next project. Kickass job though.
Thanks, I might make a version 2 but it will be hard to match the real SSBM. Also, you can hold "Backspace" to pause, it says that in the controls during the preloader. You should also read the FAQ for anymore questions, the link is in the description.
FUCK! o.O
I wanna play it over the net against others o.O
I think i would pay for it O.o
I wish I new how... If anyone knows how then TELL ME NOW! I wouldn't even know where to start.
This completely blew me away...
~The good~
The menu is enough to get a ten from me, you just had SO many different options, it's exactly like the actual SSB: Melee, with amazing sound and animation. This whole flash is a mouth-opener! Also, the fact of being able to pick of so many characters is unbelievable! I still cannot believe how much depth this game has... Let's just say it diserves a 10 in all of the major categories.
~The bad~
Well, I think you could've done a little better to fix all of the glitches in the actual game. Also, maybe make the controls a little more obvious, as I found myself taking a few tries to find out how to jump and such.
Overall, an awesome game that diserves a ten in all of the major categories, though you could've fixed a few major glitches and make the controls a little more obviouse. Also, isn't it ironic that this was submitted as the same time as the other amazing SSB collaboration? Well, I hope this review was helpful!
5/5
Good Gravy!
My god! I dont even want to THINK about all the massive amounts of coding and planning that must have gone into the creation of this game.
You perfectly captured the spirit of Super Smash Brothers in a flash game.
Extremly and amazingly well done.
The only thing I think is that the controls are a dash too frustrating, due mainly to their simplicity.
Making "O' and "P" the only buttons for fighting really makes the combat system to awkward. Half the time I was fighting, I was accidentally switching my characters to their altered forms.
Other than that, this was amazing and awesome in so many ways.
And it makes me yearn for a portable smash brothers. Like one for the Dual Screen. But alas, that may never happen.
