Good game
It was a great game. It kept me interested through the whole thing.
However, it was a little easy to beat and I generally suck at action games. Maybe a hard mode to unlock or something of that sort.

Twas good
Now I've been messing around on Newgrounds all day. So I've seen a lot of stuff. This is a good game. As any other thing you'll find on Newgrounds, it has its flaws. Congrats on making one that stands out like this one!
Hmmmzzz....
Good game...however WAY too easy...
1) Save for nothing but the rocket launcher.
2) Repeat Helicopter boss stage: Switch to weapon quickly, go directly under the Helicopter and fire continuously...down him in mere seconds.
3) Repeat this to get as much cash as you need for upgrades.
I beat the game in like 5 minutes, lol.
Other than that, nicely done. :)
Just one complaint...
Okay, here it is: I've been a fan of this game every since it first showed up on Newgrounds; it's my personal list of my favorite Flash games on this site. The graphics are good and the style remains, more or less consistent throughout the game. The difficulty level isn't too bad as long as you don't let yourself get frustrated with it (with one exception that I'll get to in a moment). The storyline is, as others have said, a bit derivative, heavily influenced by the GTA series and other games like that. But, that didn't bother me particularly. Overall, I commend you for putting together a game that accomplishes what most games of this type set out to accomplish: it's pretty damn fun! Well, for the most part anyway...
That brings me to my one and only gripe with this game: the helicopter controls are a major league PAIN IN THE ASS!!!
Make no mistake, I'm not trying to flame you or discredit this game in any way. Like I said, I like it; I think that it's one of the better shooters on Newgrounds. But, the thing is, with the helicopter controls, they could be more responsive. Response time (or, in some instances, responding to the player's control AT ALL) with the helicopter's controls is a major issue because (1) though one can get used to it with time, it's frustrating as hell until you do (I know this because I've beaten the game before), (2) the only time in which the player uses the helicopter is in a level where you have to shoot at a moving target while dodging volleys of rockets, and (3) the helicopter is only used once and then only after the player has gotten used to using the pickup truck as their primary vehicle, so slightly more forgiving controls would be a definite plus.
Otherwise, overall you've put together a pretty solid game.
