Reviews for "-TRAPPED-"

WTF!

Oh my God, I was just about to give this a 5 cause this looked so awesome at first but by the way it ended, I take that back... Besides that... Good job with graphics and it was challenging.. Though such a small game.. Sequel?

Alright!

This Classic Game Is Pretty Cluefull!

But It Is A Good Game Keep It Up.

PS: Change How He Looks And Sounds

Nice Twist

I enjoyed this game throughly. The walkthrough was as rewarding as finding out on your own. The bible passage wasn't much help, neither was the web site.
I enjoyed also, the twist at the end. The build up to the twist was grand and the small 'Shooter' bit was interesting and original for a game in a new genre such as this (Including the Crimson Room Series).
And when I saw certain characters I was thinking 'What the Heck? Why are there _____ there?" But in the end, it all made sense.
But the buildup to the twist could've been more interesting and longer. I suggest including a newspaper article that is missing bits, and also adding more weaponry.

huh

im absolutely stuck, no idea what to do

Well, it's not *bad*...

Functional and reasonably well-designed adventure game. The puzzles are decent without being overly hard. The art style is good (not quite MY personal preference, but that's not going to take any points off).
The voice acting is quite good - although the protagonist supposedly either being a "Greunbaum" or a "McNeely" still has a touch of an asian accent - 'de'/'ze' instead of 'the' (really this is a minor nitpick).

And then there's the story and the writing...

um.

The story itself is fairly interesting and has some nice twists.

...but the dialogue and the specifics? *sigh*

*****SPOILERS AHEAD *****

- A "serial killer" wouldn't be working with a gang of armed thugs to coerce a millionaire into giving up his money; he'd just KILL any prospective victim, and typically is a loner.

- if our protagonist is cannot fit into the vent, how did the unconscious bespectacled chap get stuffed in there? Moving a limp body is MUCH harder than it seems - try pushing a rope some time.

- toilet 'rolL' - and the idiom would be 'roll of toilet paper' 'roll of bathroom tissue' or just refer to the latter object without referring to the roll at all.

- "Snipers!"...um, no. They don't move around like a shooting gallery, don't use pistols and typically would kill with a single shot. "Gunmen!" might be better term, or even just "Who's shooting at me?!"

-as for the other half of the exclamation "What do they want with me?" *sigh* that's pretty obvious - to KILL YOU. Again, "Who's shooting at me?!" might be a better choice of dialogue.

***** SPOILERS END *****

Further, I've heard from other sources that there are supposed to be subtitles, yet I've been unable to get ANY version of this game (from here, Kongregate, Armorgames or godlimations) to display same; either they were mistaken, or there's some arcane method for turning them on (that should be addressed). Subtitles would also be quite welcome, even optionally, because something as simple as a phone ringing at the wrong moment could cause the player to miss a crucial piece of information.

All in all, a competent game, but it needs polish and slight refinement to really excel. At this point, it seems unlikely that such effort would be put into this five-year-old game, though. I can hope that the subsequent chapters do not fall prey to the same shortcomings... 6/10
