i liked it. useing ds grafix insted of 8-bit mario was nice. and hidin those little dudes was kinda kool. i dont think mario should eat raviolies around me to. lol. it was a nice peice of work.

after years watching your movies.. they ALL Was so DAMN Awesome!! I Liked This to But.. The ending sucked.. you need better ending! Like when you maded Mario Vs Sonic, Rise of the MK series, mack daddy Mario! they was WAY Better than this! nest time when U are going to make movies.. So Please Make a movie with better ending! But hey, it looks cool. It looks better thanks to your good animation skills. As far as the fart joke in the end is concerned, I thought the hilarious close-up of the Koopa Troopa made the joke even better. Thanks again for making another great short for all of us to see!
Some people here are being a bit harsh...
...and others I think are going a bit overboard with the praise.
The style, the sound, those were all good. Graphically, it looked like the game, the movements were there, but something just felt a little off with Mario himself; he didn't seem quite as fluid as he has moved in your other movies, such as Rise1-4. I imagine this could be attributed to the use of the new graphics, but all the same, improvement here would be nice.
The humor... I don't know, I found it a bit lacking. I mean, I expect the fart joke from some other users, it kind of runs the obvious route. It was well done, but a bit too predictable, and there wasn't much special about the execution, except the close-up of the Troopa's face. That part actually gained a few points for humor here, just because it went so well.
It's a pretty good piece, all in all, but just felt like it could have been more, and should have been more by association. In a way, I suppose that makes you a victim of your own success, even though there are others here(fanatics on both ends of the spectrum, it feels like, with a few exceptions) who may disagree.
And with all those bricks and the teaser description that was around beforehand, I really expected something involving Mario wrecking the entire lot of them.
Maybe this could become a part of a greater work, one of those bits where you select different options or whatever. I think it would work better as a piece rather than as the whole.

Yet again, Randy has excelled in his genre.
I mean, just look at it. He's thought of everything. The enemies moving to the music (in the intro, anyway), the piranha plants retreating just in time for Mario to land on the pipes, the triple jump, the bonus stuff... there's so much detail here that you'll miss bits if you blink! OK I'm going to lie down now before I faint.
