That was very clever. The direction was spot-on as well. I may have missed it in the credits but was the soundtrack done specially for this flash. If it was, it was very appropriate. Great one.

Definitely puts me in the mood to play a little chess, though not with timers. I can't stand timers. I think the fiancé and I will have to break out the chessboard tonight.
This would make an interesting version of battle chess. If I can figure out the coding, I may get in touch with you to see if you'd be interested in doing a few animations.
All in all, fantastic work. Great use of humor, and audio to tell the story.

The style was smooth, the music blended well with it, the only problem I had though were the sound effects, it could have easily gone without them and still have been good.

That was absolutely amazing
One of the most fascinating animations I have ever seen. That was really really good, it's an instant favourite for me. I hope many years from now that this will still be on Newgrounds, it's a classic.
You created some great characters here, I know this was kind of a one off, but it almost demands a sequal.
