Everyone who talks about this being Philosophical is full of bullshit.
Chess is a game used to SIMULATE WAR! You did a pretty good job of showing this. However, the animation quality was good but staying true to chess it was not.
And to people who tell critics that they couldn't do it so why should they mock it, what about movie critics? You'd definetly lose some money if it weren't for them.

Such style...
Amazing. Loved the ambience of the room, as the one "inside" the game. The characterizacion of the pieces, the techniques, the use of music, the plot... they were all awesome.
A nice movie with a unique style.
Pretty good movie, but i'd have to say that most of the sound in the movie sounded off somehow like it was too generic or something. But it didn't detract much from the whole movie itself. I liked the style of it, and I liked how the game was portrayed as a war between two kingdoms. I also think that it was a good idea to leave voice acting out as doing that usally makes a movie more thought out and creative. But overall it was a very good movie with a nice style and storyline.
