Reviews for "Elastic Mesh Generator"

Good, especially for Flash

You usually see these kind of physics rigs with EXEs or Java applets, i haven't seen one in flash yet. There is something exactly like this, i'm shure you've seen it, it's called Sodaplay, you make suuff just like this.

Other than that this was pretty awesome, it was fun to make different shapes and whatnot and drag them around. It was also fun making huge boulders fall on litle stick people :D

Nice

I've messed around with it, and although there are a few quirks (like meshes folding themselves up for no apparent reason), this is damn impressive :D

Did you actually write your own physics engine based on your own ideas, or did you implement a technique like Verlet ?

Keep up the good work man :)

Glaiel-Gamer responds:

well meshes folding themselves up could be a result of only using extensive springs. and even so, take a piece of cloth and hol it. It folds up.

Everything in here was my own idea, i want connected to the internet when i made this on my dad's laptop.

That was awesome.

you can do so much with it, its really nice ! I love the great gravity system and elastics. can you make a dynamic preloader with something like this system ? it would surely keep the user busy while something loads, just an Idea, and you could make the code share-able so if someone makes something, he can share the result of the object with us by showing the code you can input somewhere.

Awesome game. I love it, BUT......

Please, please, PLEASE add an option for a floor, walls, and a ceiling in the next version. That would make this a really fun game. The reason I request this is because I just had two red nodes connected by a spring in a zero-gravity field and I was spinning them around and when I let go, it slingshotted off the screen. Bounce physics would add a whole lot to this game, but PLEASE add a frame around the field to stop things going off-screen. Thanks, and keep up the amazing work.

Ratings:
Graphics: 10, everything was smooth, the color/thickness customization really adds to the game, and the balls look cool.
Style: 10, Although I've seen this type of game before, you did it with such style.
Sound: 6, Either add more music and an option to turn it off, or just take it out completely. Sound effects would make this game better, but repetitive after a while.
Violence: 2, No blood (not needed here), throwing a person around was cool...
Interactivity: 10, Of course a game like this would get a perfect score for this category...
Humor: 9, Haha, throwing things around is always good for a laugh... I saw the slingshot effect and I was like Whoamg!
Overall: 10, Only minor problems, but they don't really affect the gameplay. Just add the floor, walls, and ceiling and you'll definitely be on my favorites list.

this is a ripoff of a different site

there's a way better one of these, and it's got a gallery so u can see other people's work
