Pretty nice
There were a few bugs, but what I thought worst was the unbalanced difficulty. The first levels - 2 and 3 especially - are hard, because you have to go through the nasty sand (the hardest type of ground clearly) and the river, but then it's the forest and three levels that you can do entirely on grass. By then, you're already used to jumping and kicking the rats and the ninjas, so these levels are much easier than the first ones. They can be beaten without a single shuriken. Also, the dragons seem to get faster, which makes them easier to kill (the fireballs are more spaced). Holes 8 and 9 were more challenging, forcing you to go through different types of ground, sand and water included. However, by then I had a huge stock of shurikens so I only had to kill every enemy before it approached or shot something. Dragons 8 and 9 were good, too - 8 was slow enough for it to be almost impossible to escape the fireballs and 9 was fast enough to be moderately hard to hit.
Good game
The only problems I came across was there was no pausee (that i could find) and the up arrow didn't do any jumping. Other than that, I look forward to a sequel.
Seems like it'd be a stunning Atari game...
But, as well-done as it was as a flash game, it was a rather tedious game. By the third whole I was already getting bored, having to fight dozens of crap-flinging goblins and braindead ninjas of all colors of the rainbow, along with those annoying frogs that always seemed to jump through my kicks.
All "me-sucking-at-the-game"s aside, at one point I found a snake which could ignore my invulnerability, and when rising from a water hole, I was unfortunately under a piranha and, having half life, I was quite quickly eaten alive and lost my second life.
Back to the tedium, it didn't much help when the dragons got faster after hole 6 (or maybe it was my imagination); it just made their fireballs easier to dodge. On the whole, it was fun for a little while. But that's it.
Pretty good concept, a little variety would help
I actually thought it was a pretty solid and interesting game. It was fun to both try to shoot the ball in the hole as well as kill all the enemies. There wasn't much variety in the enemies, however, or ninja weapon choice. Overall though, I thought it was a pretty solid game, and fun to play.
