Reviews for "Ninja Golf"

Quirky... but....

The idea was bizarre, but it was actually pretty interesting as a game. The problem I kept having with it was that the frickin' arrow for the swing would be as long as I could get it but as soon as I hit the button it went to the shortest again. Other than that this game was perfect and most definately one of the best action, SS games out there.

a game with something new, but lacking alot

this is my 1st review, honestly ive never in my life a golfing game in which u had to run to your ball and fight monsters on the way.
i thought it was a good idea, but in my opinion the actual game wasnt that good, of course thats just me.

A remake? Really? Seems pretty original to me!

I would've been far more impressed with this if you had come up with the concept of NINJA GOLF by yourselves. The two terms are practically on opposite poles of each other, golf of being a Scottish game of concentration and serenity, and ninja being a badass Japanese assassin.

The game was actually a little on the repetative side; it would've been a bit more interesting if (1) the fighting was a bit more involved, and (2) if bunkers, rough, water hazards, and woods actually did something to impair how far you hit your next shot. Instead, they merely determine what manner of enemies you will face. If this is because of how the original is, that's fine, but I really would've prefered something a bit more involved.

To those of you who intend to play this game, it's not that hard a game, though the hit detection is a little off. Hazards on the golf course have no effect on your ball, so go ahead and shoot straight for the green. Where the ball lands merely determines what manner of terrain you will have to deal with, as well as the enemies associated with that terrain (whatever's between you and the ball.)

And to the authors, I would be most interested in seeing you guys expand on this theme! This is as close to a contact sport as I have ever seen golf!

What.....the.....hell?!?!?

This game is seriously based on an old atari game? I don't remember that one, I must have missed it. Pretty cool game. It was kind of hard to judge how well you remade the game, as I never played the original. Fun concept, and fun game though. The hit detection seemed a little off at times, and I like how the music is silent while you're setting up for a stroke, but starts up while you're on the run to your ball. It seemed like it took a while for the music to crank up when you started running though, so even when you hit the ball as far as possible, you didn't get to hear too much of the music. The music for fighting the dragon seemed awfully familiar, but I couldn't quit place it. Again, great game!

Hey now...

A good game all in all. Some upgrading other than just the graphics would be nice, but the concept is just WAITING to be exploited to it's true potential. My computer is fairly powerful and I could still run it quickly. Perhaps the people who gave it bad reviews are just whiny teenage supernerds trying to get along by building crappy computers from old parts from high school computer classes and dont have the computing power to handle it. (That's right. I went there.) Either that, or maybe they don't understand this was an ATARI game concept remade for Flash. Of course it's going to be simple and somewhat repetitive. Don't blame the author, assholes.
