congradulations on making the only good sprite movies in the history of the world.
Very interesting.
It is really neat how you have managed to take something like the original Super Mario Bros. and transform it into an epic story with Mario being a tragic hero. I'll give my honest opinion, I thought that most of the music used in this series was over the top even though it fit the scene perfectly. You don't have to use LOTR musical selections to show how serious your story is. I could play a Seasame Street song during Mario & Luigi's fight with Bowser and it would still come off as a serious scene. Don't get me wrong though, the FF8 music was a fun and appropriate thing to put as the background music during that battle. I am merely just saying that you don't have to have a powerful orchestra heavy score in your movies to obtain a dramatic effect. In the end it worked, but I think you were being more serious than you needed to be. The graphics really stayed true to theme and the sprite work was remarkable. I think given a Super Mario Bros. 3 sprite theme, your worlds would be artistic marvels. You did very well with an underdeveloped Mario Bros. World. You used the ugliest version of Princess Peach, the most simplistic structures in Mario Bros. history, and the oldest and plainest enemies of the series and made it all a masterpiece. Your work is easily superior to ROTMK for those very reasons. In fact, it would be an insult to put ROTMK in the same sentence as a series that is actually a masterpiece instead of just another troll through cheap humor and kung-fu action scenes with an occasional mix of music from various matrix and super hero movies. Hold your head high Phantasmagoria_crow, you did Newgrounds a big favor by making the Mario Brothers series.
