this deserves to be in the top 50 movies ever made on new grounds. it is amazing the best dramatic mario mini series ever made. You are a godly spriter, i dont think anyone else can manipulate the 8- bit sprites as well as you do.

By far and without a single doubt, the best Mario flash movie ever made. As much as I love the humorous Mario flashes, this one tops them like none other.
It has everything. The tragic storyline, exciting action sequences, and top of the line animation. The part where Mario falls to his knees, completely overwhelmed with grief, particularly stands out in my mind. The acting played out well not only with incredibly simple, 8-bit graphics, but in silhouette. At every step of the way you are just drawn further in, with the tragic climax bringing a tear to the eye of even the most cold of hearts.
You, sir, are a masterful storyteller and an amazing animator.

good movie though, why didn't mario just grab the battle axe at the end though? you should make one more where he finds a way to save the people and stuff (not telling who in case i ruin the movie)
