great movie
This is one damned fine movie. Great action and suspense 'n stuff. Although it could need some blood. Some things that bothered me was that the movie wasn't really "Mario". The story and dialogue was far too serious. If you've played Paper Mario you'll know what I'm talking about. The castle scene was really cool. Pieces falling everywhere and stuff. But the thing i hate most about series like these is the tragic finale. Luigi died, Peach died, Mario suicided and Bowser was 100% superevil and died too. Killing off every major character is something i really hate. Nice effect on the lava flow though.
Brilliant Finish!
What a brilliant way to finish off the series. I'm not sure if you always planned to finish it, or perhaps there was a time when you thought you were just going to move on, but thanks anyway for returning and completing the circle! Delightfully twisted, curiously unexpected, but essentially true to the game that inspired it, bravo!
One note tho, the big battle at the castle was nice, cool fading on the bg sprites, but somehow it felt outdone by earlier battles in the previous chapters. Maybe there wasn't enough screen chaos, enough 'massive' at work, or some creative battle element that made it rule all. Just didn't feel like the big crescendo Chapter V deserved, but hey, still awesome!
