Long time viewer, first-time poster
Aye, I decided t'make my first review - and my first post - about your flash animation.
DENDYN DYNASTIES
Rather than make my first review a star-spangled one about Adam Phillips "the YuYu" or somesuch, I'm going to instead make it a critical synopsis of this unique li'l flick.
The graphics are great, definately, but certainly not flawless. There is an unfortunately large number of crooked (rather than 'curved') lines in the flash, paired with some strange spell effects. Truth be told, some of these effects you use remind me of an old, old program I used to fiddle around with, called RPG Maker 2000 - it had an odd spell animation creator, and I could swear some of them are directly ripped from it! They probably aren't, but regardless, they just look a little.. 'out of place' from the rest of the toon.
Your style, Ryanide, is awesome - after viewing your DArt submissions, I can see you've remained quite true to it. Cute, fluffy characters causing havoc all around? Unique, to say the least - a very refreshing difference from the usually human-dominated scene. While it is heavily borrowed from anime (which I never really cared for), it isn't without good reason - it's flexible, and you use that flexibility, I imagine, painstakingly well.
Continuity and detail is top-notch. You've done a near-perfect job of keeping the animation fluid and continuous, without skimping out on character details. Remarkeable. Everything here is seemingly original and unique, which is a tough choice for a flash artist to make.
Sound is ... sub-par. The muted sound effects I don't mind, but the music plays somewhat hollow to my ears. Dinky, if you will.
Aye, I've got to get going - my review is only half-finished and unedited, so I'll ask ya' to wait for the rest of it when I get back!
Overall, it was great. I've always had a little bit of enjoyment for the furry art style, and you've only made me like it all the more.
