Something Good made Better

Good job man. I really enjoyed playing the original "Battle for Gondor", but I liked this improved version even more. Excellent storyline and great gameplay, this game is sure to be a classic. I'm looking forward to playing your future games and screw those B@stards who voted 0. They can all eat my Sh!t cuz they duont know anything. They should probably read what you have to say before they start commenting on how "this wasnt original". Keep up the good work.

(This is pretty much the longest review i ever wrote)

Great but...

This game was great. It was exactly like Battle for Gondor, except with a story and you can fight with troops. I can understand that a direct transition to fight with your troops can cause some bugs, but it's not like you can't fix em. Make the Health Bar on the HUD, or on a upper layer. Also, add some depth to the thing. You were always on a lower layer than the enemies. Make it so the greater the y value of something, the smaller depth it gets. Also, the enemies are all in a straight line. More dynamics? Moreover, I don't like the way you did the sword swip. The enemy has to be hitTesting the sword to get hit, right? Try instead of using your current method, try making something like if the x value between the target at you is... I dunno, 100, you're facing the enemy, and the y difference is less than 35 or something. That way, you can attack enemies when they're below you, and not when they're super-above you.

Good game - got boring after a while

Wow. This game kicked total butt.

The graphics were good, the sound was amazing, and the game play was awesome. It kind of reminded me of a flash version of Rise and Fall: Civ.

You did a great job with the story plot, and everything was executed nicely. Good menu interface, and a clean presentation.

The tutorial was done very well, but I felt it went a bit too slowly. Also, the game doesn't have a lot of replay value after a while. The first couple of tries, and I got a little bored.

All in all, very cool!

A good game, with one flaw

This is a very well done game, and it even has a good story; a definite plus. However, there is one thing that made this game completely unplayable.

During one of the last missions, specifically the one where you receive the mage, my character was stuck moving to the right. i could move him up and down, but no matter what he kept moving forward; he simply would NOT stand still. The game couldn't be finished this way, since there was no way for me to attack the peons that went rushing past because i could not turn back around to fight them. i don't know whether that was a bug on the game's part or a problem with my keyboard, though, so i didn't factor it into the score.

However, if you ever do a sequel or another game of this type, i would like to point out that i found it very annoying to have to turn around every 5 seconds and go kill a peon because the units refused to fight it. While your character's unconscious, that basically leads to an unstoppable loss. Find some way around this, because i find it quite unfair.

All in all, however, a very good game.

One of the best adventure games on NG

What can I say? The game is very well made, good gameplay, and a great story to go with it. I liked it a lot. The graphics were nice and the sounds weren't annoying. Although I didn't beat the game (i passed the forest though), I thought it was very good. Keep it up.
