This game doesn't have great gameplay. The graphics are bad, there's very little strategy, and it lasts a while. It's also pretty easy. But the story makes up for all that. It is in depth and totally epic, with event after event. And the characters are great. They change throughout the story, and I loved them all the whole time. They also speak of war as the atrocity it is, not in a naive manner. The gameplay needs work, but still a job well done.
Good, but still...
It gets sort of monotonous at times, there are basically no new elements added as you progress. Despite that, it's still a fun game to play, and I believe the dialogs and the story gave a lot of contribution to its gameplay. I think the dialogs are quite well made, and since they have a hint of anti war philosophy to them, I like them even more. It's not as bland as you might expect from such kind of a game.
All in all, it's a good game, worth playing if you don't absolutely hate this sort of genre.
