I'm sorry, but this was extremely disappointing

I remember the days when I would be estatic with joy when the Legendary Frog made a new movie. I always got a good chuckle from your movies, but lately I just sit and think, "What happened?!"

Your animation style has hardly improved over time. Animation is art. ART. When someone has no strive to improve in their art, it gets worse as more is made. I noticed this start around when you made One Ring to Rule Them All 3. It's the same old thing. Television does the same thing, but that's 'cause they've made up to a satisfactory level ('cept stuff like South Park, sorry fans of that show). Try experimenting with new styles because that's the only way you're gonna make really good stuff.

The humor is bland. The jokes are stale and overused. Sorry to put it harshly, but the humor sucks. It used to be original jokes, but now it's just the same stuff over and over again. Sure it's funny the first time, and usually the second. Sometimes if you're lucky, the third, but please! In my opinion, it's like the Fairly Odd Parents. They started out great, but now most of their jokes are the same old things over and over. What you should do is try to get out for a while, drop the whole animation thing for a little bit, and live life as much as humanly possible. Then use life experiences to make new material.

Violence isn't a part of most humor, and interactivity could be better, but I have no complaints. It's a movie.

The sound quality is just... blah.

To sum it up, you've run yourself dry and you need to get out and soak up more pretty much. Your loss if you ignore this advice. One less fan.

This was quite mediocre, I beleive. Especially for a Legendary frog cartoon.
I am not a huge fan of your cartoons. The only one I've ever really liked was "The Return of Ganondord" which I have in my favorites. That cartoon was funny.
But your others are not. Why?
Because in Return of Ganondorf, the characters were funny. They werent funny because they only spouted 1-liners. They werent funny because they referenced video games or computer games all the time.

But all your other cartoons do that. Its as if in Return of Ganondorf, you made something funny, and then all that just died and you continued to make lots of just...not good flash.

Another thing is that in Return of Ganondorf, the characters moved around alot. Which was neat. Most of your flash has characters who either stand very still, or move with some very painfully icky tween animations.

This cartoons is like your bad ones. But even worse so, because nothing happens really in this flash. There's no climax or anything to capture the viewer's attention. Of course, the score is going up but thats mainly due to world-of-warcraft fans who dont understand how flash works or have seen a really good fantasy-based Flash like the Bitey series or Pustota and so forth.

Honestly, I think you gave up. This cartoon just seems to shreik "I am tired of making flash, and I am going to do the bare minimum"
The dwarf/gnome/midget's voice was very irritating, and he barely moved at all. This is something one expects from your flash, but here it was dissapointing.

But I think the most dissapointing thing was the author's comments. You said "I am using a new art style"

Where? Where and how does this look in any way different than your usual "minimalist anime" style that you usually use? The art style here looks like your other things. :C

Overall, this was just....depressing. Its been so long since you made a flash, one was lead to think perhaps you were working on something fantastic, and your author's comments lead us to beleive that you had.
But you hadnt.
This is just like many of your other flashes. Based on premade characters and a plot based entirely on a video game with jokes only people who play that video game will understand.

I still hope one day you can make something as satirically funny as Return of Ganondorf. But as your cartoons have gone steeply downhill, I think it is a fool's hope. I dont think you'll ever have the need to make something decent again.
And slowly, like many other once-popular author's you will slide, sadly, into the blam bin.

well...

I know I probably sound pretty critical but everything aside, the writing was pretty weak and unfunny. You should also try your hand at more original ideas and stop with the parodies already.

Well uhh....

You know i loved most of your other movies...but this....Keep tryin.....You're not how you used to be, your older movies were great, after One ring to rule them all 3 you started going downhill...all your flash became mediocre and i jus couldn't vote high anymore, you need to return to your roots, you're capable of MUCH better work than this.

Disappointing, to be blunt.

I'm trying to submit some relatively constructive critisism here. Notice how I said 'trying'.

Your flash in general has pretty okay graphics, but that isn't what the problem's about. When you said that you changed your art style I was hoping for a refreshing change. But when I watched it, it was the same old same old. I'm not sure if when you said that you were changing your style you were referring to the character models, 'cause ALL character models are different. I can see an attempt at a change in style, but it isn't too obvious. But then again, development is the key.....I suppose.

...ah. Sound. I think this is what got on everyone's nerves. I know that the gnome is supposed to sound high-pitched and annoying to the point of suicide, which you have shown VERY well I might add, but the squeaky high voice has already been used a lot in your previous flashes. Squeaky voices can have some variation too. Sam in your One Ring series was passable mainly 'cause he wasn't a main character and we didn't hear him much. But in this...it's an overkill. I think you should try to use different pitches of voice or different tones. That might be more effective than using the squeaky voice.

Violence can't be judged. Unless you consider a troll being pwned by a tool 'violence'. Same goes for interactivity. Though the classis 'credits easter egg' was pretty good.

Punchlines seem to be your downfall here. Some of your punchlines are funny, but only becuase they're random. But randomness has limits too, as does the number of times you can use a certain punchline. Most of your lines have been seen and laughed over before, which makes it get old very quickly. Try some other forms of humor. Everyone loves it when a guy has his privates randomly bashed in. Or maybe that's just me. But still. Try different forms of humor, and that'll definetly push your score up.

Overall, 3. Yeah. If there wasn't such a long wait inbetween this flash and your previous one, I would've given it a higher one. Everyone was expecting a masterpiece from you after all the months of waiting. But....well, read the title. Well, good luck. And stuff.
