A Bit of a Letdown
The first one was better, no question about it. I have been awaiting a sequel to littleFoot for about six months now, and was thoroughly disappointed by what I got. After the awesome music in the first movie along with that sense of being isolated from the rest of the world with quietness and amazing creatures, the animation was great because there were so many different styles of animation (And littleFoot was so darn cute!). With the sequel I get music that is, well, a little too quick. I almost stopped watching in the beginning because the music was beginning to give me a headache, but I thought, Well, maybe it will stop later, but no. Not only was this flash very short, but you scrapped the storyline that revolved around a cute little creature in favor of an extremely fast paced chase scene that got a bit tedious after awhile. You lost that sense of, Wow this could really be another world!, between the first one and the sequel. Bitey lost almost all of his personality. Although he was still running away from his fears, he seemed a bit vague as a character. The YuYu were also a disappointment. After seeing the end of littleFoot, I had assumed the YuYu would be a thoroughly developed character in the sequel, and the storyline would deepen exponentially as a result. But, once again, no. The storyline seemed to disappear completely for action that was more for a person who has ADHD and can't sit still and appreciate a good flash. This flash was a huge letdown. I feel, also, as though there will not be a sequel to this flash. You destroyed any storyline you had left when you had Bitey kill the YuYu. I think you lost just about all of your imagination. I despair for that, because I believe that one of the best flash artists in the world's creativity just went down the tubes and won't be coming back, at least for a long time. Do us all a favor and try to bring back what you had with the first one. I think you had the right idea back then.
