As you mentioned, the song is absolutely fantastic. Hearing it in my head carried me for over four hours' worth of cycling; it has speed without excess power - kind of like Bitey. But on to the flash.
Being a fan of Sonic games (and high speed in general), this was quite a treat to watch. The "bug-in-the-mouth" bit was amusing, yet didn't distract from the semi-serious tone of the rest of the movie. The "stand and fight" bit at the end was great; heaven help the other party if he ISN'T the aggressor. This flash deserved every medal it won. I'd give this a 15 out of 10 if I could.
