Albeit violent, gore and partially mature, this submission is the literal pinnacle of this site's history, in the same way the Colosseum is the pinnacle of the ancient civilization. It was a revolutionary game for the era it came at (originally 1999) and despite the low quality graphics (for which I do not care that much) it offers its audience a bitter taste of the modern brutality in a way only T. Fulp could do so, combined with appreciatable humor, as well as a few plot twists. Quite good plot, decent animation procedure and nice boss fights alongside options for the user whether to act or not, it worked as a protype for many, many other game designers in the following years.
Although there are things in this site I like more, my surprise when I played this game for the first time still suggests me from time to time to join again Pico's world and take action against the punk/goth/alien rebels (despite my music taste 🙄). This violent short game helps my stress from time to time.
It would be 8 out 10 if a few things were better, but still it has been impressive and innovative. The last missing star does so due to one reason: because it did not have a second chapter.
