Incredible. Fascinating. Creepy as hell.
This is by far one of the best games I've ever played that is Flash-based. I am very quite impressed at the level of effort you put into your creation, and I commend you for the fine job you've done. Here is my review:
Graphics (10): Absolutely Beautiful (in a morbid sense). I thoroughly enjoyed the pre-rendered environments; very "Resident Evil"-esque. Each scene was indistinguishable from the real thing, in terms of the setting, the objects and the lighting. I can't imagine how long it took you to meddle with each image to your liking, but rest assured that all of the scenes turned out wonderfully. I especially liked times when there was movement (such as a cape fluttering in the wind, or a spirit flying towards your throat).
Style (10): Please believe me when I say to you that this story deserves a movie. The way that you intertwined all of the little plots into one terrifying tale is amazing. I also think that you realistically portrayed the way in which this world would react to such a catastrophe. I really appreciate the little flourishes that you added, such as the clickable articles and the CB radio; they really emerged me into the world you've created.
Sound (10): Concerning the category of audio, you deserve much more than a simple 10; quite frankly, you've gone all out. Everything sounded like it should have, from the clomping of feet up a wooden staircase to the flicking of a Zippo lighter. Also, I thought it was fantastic how you inserted the ambient SFX, especially the humming of the wind. But I digress...the actual dialogue was spot-on as well. The deep, distorted grunting of Xavier really brought me to a special (and SCARY) place.
Violence (10): This submission really appeals to my morbid side, and I was fascinated by the gruesome nature in which bodies were mutilated. Good job!
Interactivity (10): I'm not a big fan of the point-and-click genre, but this format works perfectly with the subject material of the game. I also really, REALLY appreciate the time you took to write a subtitled explanation for everything viewable in the scene; it really added to the detail.
Humor (--): Not applicable.
Overall (10): I don't think there is a single thing I can suggest to you besides the obvious: make a sequel, PLEASE! This submission is a blessing to Newgrounds, and I regard it as such. I just want to thank you for the effort you put into your project, and for the many good-and-healthy scares I received while playing. Keep. It. Up.
