Epic and actually scary!
I love these games that have a damn good story. Reading about the fall of humanity is very entertaining! Played to the end, and jumped a few times. I think ill proceed to the next one...
perfection (SPOILER ALERT [just in case])
ok so I just finished this game and I see incredible improvement from exmortis 1, the people who wrote books for example all had their own personalities and to some degree so did the characters they wrote about.
(granted there we're only two people in this story who wrote anything)
also where the first game failed to really scare me (though it did put me on edge a couple times) this game not only had me almost constantly nervous, but managed to scare me several times. (lucky for me I don't react audibly to fear or I would have woken people up)
I nearly punched my screen in the vent....
I have one complaint and it doesn't really have to do with the quality of the game so much as consistency, reading the last few torn out pages of that diary I noted that the guy had used 5 bullets leaving just one for me however when I moused over the gun it said it was loaded with 5 rounds which made me think he had reloaded the gun before he shot himself.
later I was wondering why my gun wouldn't shoot and although I had thought to search the body in the tunnel for bullets I didn't notice the box on the ground and instead clicked the body directly and assumed he didn't have any.
also once I got the box my gun never had to be reloaded which was convenient but disappointing.

I absolutely fell in love with this one, can't wait to get the third one!
by far the best game i have ever played on newgrounds or any click and play for that fact...truely amazing for a flash game... JOB WELL DONE
