Good Show
Graphically it's truly an progressive improvement over the first. The imagery is of a better resolution, and the use of special effects to create a sense of depth is quite well interpreted through the use of both After Effects and Flash.
The Story line is quite well placed, though most of the plot is endeavored through reading and at times can seem a bit tedious, drawing from the game's interacive elements, and at times seems to fill in what little time there is amidst the experience. Though, without fault, the passages from the father's journal brings out a certain kind of horror we usually miss when we go about creating such pieces. Though I did count out a few spelling and gramatical errors, along with an interesting use for vulgar language which, in its point to enforce realism, didn't overly affect this particular part of the game.
With Sound, you can expect some interstingly, if low quality, chilling and suspenseful scenes, colouring the musty ruins with some frightful audio decor to prove its worth as a horrific experience.
Gameplay was of all things a true phenomenon to behold. Though short in it's overall length, it makes up for in the time figuring out the puzzles required to get through the initial plot, and proceding through its dark depths.
Overall I do so believe this to be a very good "next step" in Exmortis. I also hope to see a finale of sorts for the series, and in that, an improvement in it's weaker areas, for a strong finish.
