Reviews for "Red Riding Hood"

Best. Flash. Ever

My new favorite, that was worth a 10 not just for review, but for votes as well if they only went that high. A true masterpiece, I absolutely loved it. The ending was great, took me by surprise just likes the movies from which the end music came. Excellent job!

I would like to comment on your work

but I'd much rather bash this insanely stupid reviewer called dranigus here are excerpts from his review.

There were flaws to your little story.

Not his storyline but okay.

1) If the girl had mastered the strength to break an iron sheet of metal, she should be strong enough to kill the wolf on her own. Strong and tough enough on both accounts. The wolf would have had little chance to survive. I can see if she was ultimately scared and tired, her reflexes would be less than his. But still... he wouldn't have an easy meal.

The fact is, is that she broke through that iron sheet after WEEKS of beating away at it. tearing at it and cutting herself. It's been a long time since I've heard that hand strength is the key to killing a wolf with a killer instinct, faster, stronger, and more intelligent. I understand the concept that you describe, but really the iron corset was merely the work of an uncle whose ideas of strength were misleading.

2) Blood and flesh of humans has a distinctive smell that any human can recognize. The smell is so nautious to any human that it will cause them to gag. You can't eat human flesh either.

Ever heard of a cannibal? If you had taken any time to research decomposing bodies, the aroma of blood, and the taste of human flesh you would know that blood is essentially an orderless and slightly saltly but otherwise is compared by a mix of water and milk. Blood is also odorless for the first thirty minutes of leaving the body unpreserved. The taste of human flesh, while usually recognizable to an actual cannibal, a person would not tell any difference between it and rather stringy, soft, a sweeter beef.

3) It's understandable that the wolf was a wolf-man or a werewolf. But that wouldn't explain how the bird and cat were able to speak.

Ah one of the elements of well... A FAIRYTALE. Do you complain like this when you watch spongebob. Did you throw a fit when you saw Finding Nemo? The fact that an animal can talk merely represents that ANIMALS IN THE STORY CAN TALK!!! DEAL WITH IT!

4) An enraged human can kill any beast, as humans are demons in their own right. That wolfman would have stood little chance for survival against that hunter for the second round.

I'm sure an enraged human can kill any beast with just a sword, say bear, which has to be shot in the head twice with a shotgun? By the way, you say the wolf was a werewolf. Can't werewolves only be killed by silver bullets? So what use is a sword?

5) Wolfs, even though savage carnivores, are actually not predators of human beings. Not even a wolf-man would want to hunt humans over weak and easy prey like young deer, sheep, and horse.

Hmmm... You're right. In all werewolf movies, they're ALWAYS preying on the forest animals. Humans never come into play right? OH WAIT. They ARE the main prey of werewolves, what a coincidence.

In short, wolves don't bother themselves with time and effort over a prey that is quite strong. They prefer something that's already dead or easy to kill.

Um... they're not scavengers by nature. WHy the hell do they hunt in packs then? For something already dead? Hey, us 15 wolves took down a buck carcus today during the hunt. Something easy to kill? hey, us 15 wolves took down a squirral today, yeah. Actually, this is wherre research comes into play, wolf generally eats moose, elk, deer, sheep, and turkey.

I'm quite sure that wolfman would have rather ate that cat than to have bothered it's self with that girl.

Hmmm... Yes, but see there's something called strategy where when you hunt you usually want the thing that is larger that you can take down and not the smaller thing. Why? I don't know? Maybe because of the prospect of more food?

I know you are trying to create a little scary horror. But you can't really horrorfy someone when you add in a little too much fantasy.

He has added no more fantasy than you have to the original story of the grimms. You sir, have been professionally SERVED!!!

Nice

very nice great idea and loved the twist would love to see moere twisted versions of tales like these

They are called the Brothers GRIM, you know...

Definitely the darkest, creepiest fairytale I've ever heard. Love to see what Jack and the Beanstalk would be like...

aaaha, bloody brilliant

Your animation was great, as was your artwork. You did a great job with the environments and the characters, and you effectively used filters to get the glare effects with the glass.

Your voice acting was well done. You made it mysterious and enthralling, i hung onto every word.

And finally, the story was an awesome variation of this classic story; the best ive heard to date.
The twist at the end was also a great finishing touch, so great work with that as well.

Basically, this was a brilliant peice of art work.
Youve just made yourself a new fan

Hope to see more from you in the future
