Reviews for "Power Star 2"

Take note, Newgrounders:

this is what a good sprite animation looks like.

I think it's fair to say that I dislike over 95% of sprite animations, but I can make an exception for this. I'd like to add that I thought it was freaking hilarious when the Toads were getting massacred, especially when they just blew into pieces. Great, fast-paced action, it's what seperates this from all the other spirte fights. I would also have to congragulate you on your ability to record your voice, most sprite animations just make people read. I wasn't too enthusiastic on your choice of music, but that's just my opinion.

I just wish more reviewers would begin to compare the other sprite animations to this one and rate them accordingly, rather than giving everything a 10.

Aaaaaaah yeeeeah

It's as good as when you find out that Uncle Phil off the Fresh Prince did the voice of the Shredder in Turtles...oh yes

Badass mario!

Man the flow of animation in this was great! Its far few and inbetween with mario flash of this kind of quality. The actual effort in making the sprites fight was there, hell I thought for a min that mario did a roundhouse kick in one od the game the animations blended so well.

Keep up the good work.

NICE!

Holy Shit, one of the few flashes that are the best. Can't wait for the conclusion.

Quite wonderful

Despite the lack of dialoge, and what was there was thankfully short (although a bit...odd and...well, I didn't like it so much, as it seemed uneccesary (the greeting of "capt. Toad"))

regardless, this was elaborate, smooth, and well 'sprite-d'

Much effort was put into the smoothness, that's it's shinning factor to be sure. The voices fit Luigi well enough, although Peach and Toad were... less admirable. Some 'cheap', as some call them, blur dialoge effects were oddly placed, but made no major impact.

All in all, I could find no pressing technical error with the flash itself, and it's clean presentation, frame-rate handling and action make this an easy choice for a solid 8 out of 10.

the sprites were slick and so was the animation, however, the plot was a touch dry as compensated by all the wonderful action. Certantly note-worthy to the extent of fast-paced action, but as far as story goes, I liked the idea of 'boo' inhabiting him, I'd like to hear more of it overall.
Otherwise solid, and perhaps him being infected with 'boos' (booze?) enraged him? Perhaps coincidence, but a funny one to keep in mind.

Great work, well worth a watch, maybe even twice. Good work. Excellent presentation.
