Nice try.
Well, it's ok for a beginning game, but the collision detection wasn't working properly, couldn't always pick up the items. The movement seems sloppy. The music loop got old very quick, and there is no limits on where you can move. Fix these bugs and expand on it some more.

Decent game
The control sucks. Fix more directions to fly in. Not just up, down, right, left. Otherwise, kinda decent.

the music was snazzy...
yet, the music also didn't seem to fit. the eagle sorta looked like an owl to me. in the game, i couldn't always catch the jewel, although it did touch me. perhaps a more fluid movement to the "eagle" would be good.

That was ok. I gave it a 2/5, but there were some issues.
Sometimes youjust can't pick up the jewel no matter how many times you fly over it.
Also, why are we learning to fly if we are already flying?
Another thing is it's about an eagle and at the beginning you have an owl.
Oh, and the music must be changed. It's to short and repetative making the game very annoying after a short time.

Not bad but a little awkward
The hit detection is kind of screwy...sometimes I couldn't pick up a jewel even if I went over it several times. Also, the eagle can go off the screen any direction, including down. I don't make flash so I don't know how that would be fixed, but learn how before your next game.
Despite that, it was still pretty fun. 3/5 ^_^
