Ah yes the B flash...
I've heard of it but I see it now and I can honestly say it's supposed to be an optical illusion: staring at one place, the B for instance or the B2 in the sequel, is supposed to make you imagine things that either make no sense or make perfect sense, like worshipping SBC: He was trying with this to mind-control the NG staff or NG populace into liking his movies, no matter what he put up! Smart but risky plan...
