Reviews for "B"

Dude

Elmo's right. This is the essence of overrated-ness. Loathsome can write a paragraph on how its the best ever.... I guess I'll write a whole god damn essay on why its garbage.

First of all, there are sooooo many better artists and flashes on newgrounds. Even the shitty artists use something which should be familiar to a member of newgrounds ANIMATION, and HARD WORK. Without it, a flash is just a SINGLE PICTURE or A SINGLE LETTER or SOME SHITTY STICK FIGURE BLOB. Take Krinkels' flashes for example. He puts every ounce of his strength and effort into each and every flash he makes, including all of his Madness shorts which he makes for Madness day every year. They take TIME AND EFFORT. Dan Paladin's flashes take, c'mon, u can guess, thats right, he creates his flash by taking TIME AND EFFORT. Mindchamber's flashes..... TIME AND EFFORT. Even some of the god damn kitty krew's work takes TIME, and sometimes effort.

Besides, this flash.... WAS A HUGE PRANK. There is no deep, unseen message... it's a god damn "b." It doesn't matter that the fuckin thing is not quite in the middle, nor that it is the second letter of the alphabet. A GOD DAMN LETTER. The reason strawberry chose a "b" was because his other flash "a" got friggen blammed. Believe me, he'd have a huge fuckin laugh reading all these rated 10 reviews because HE DOESN'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK ABOUT HIS FLASH.

End of story. SB, I'll give u a 3/10, for coloring inside the lines, and starting a whole revolution by submitting a flash made out of punching in one letter on your keyboard. That didn't take talent, but it took a whole lot of luck.

wow

It's the letter B... get over it

I'll give you a 1/10 because you colored it in.

I don't believe it...

I had heard many rumors of this but I did not think it could be true... this leaves me speechless yet a thousand things flow through my head at once! I have read the many theories behind this and while they all seem accurate one can never truly know the true methods and thoughts behind this highly inspirational piece. To me it speaks volumes though.
The red obvious symbolizes the hate and disdain new flash authors were usually greeted with, and the slight paue before the 'B' appears, as if it is hesitant of the reactions it will receive only encourages this image. The fact that it is so small compared to the page as a whole yet surrounded by only white is a testament to a great inspiration usually lost in the void of the flash world, standing out if only it could be seen! While the fact that it is off center might seem like a small point, but it shows that even if we don't know our place in the world we can still shine brightly. The fact that it is the second letter in the alphabet certainly means that you don't have to be number one to "B" something.

This simple flash with it's simple letter is an inspiration and we can only thank StrawberryClock for gracing us with it.
Thank you.

YAY!

The benchmark that all movies need to strive for

Very few artists on Newgrounds could make quality movies that also captivates the viewers who watch them. B, from Strawberry Clock, is one of those few flashes who brings that together. This movie, while not in any sense, an actual movie, is more of a well thought out and planned masterpiece that places an unlikely letter, that being the red B, in the middle of the screen, yet slightly off center. It being not exactly in the middle shows that not even the best movie is perfect, and the fact that it is a B instead of an A interperets the idea that even the most quality flashes, while still not perfect, but struggles to find an audience, still may be outclassed by "better" flashes who spent less time and effort than this metaphorical image. While some reviews may classify this flash as one of the most overrated and pointless flashes on Newgrounds, they fail to realise that not everything should be looked at by first glance, but watched again and again to catch hidden meaning and truths hidden in the artwork. Much like Leonardo DaVinci's Mona Lisa, objectives and meanings do not appear the same to two different people. One person may view it as one way as if it is not noteworthy, while others may thinklong and hard just to try to find the metaphor this artwork has in it. Everything in this flash, while not perfect, tells a story about how movies and all other artforms shall be viewed. Thus, I congradulate Strawberry Clock on being the genious who put this piece together and gave it life.
