Probably the most entertaining flash I have ever..
I just want to set the record straight concerning "what is that song that plays when Humpty gets shot?!" The song is Ghostwriter. It's on Rjd2's album Deadringer which was released in 2002. Deadringer is considered a classic by many and is an engaging mix of hip-hop, trip-hop, breakbeat, jazz, funk, and soul. As far as it being music from an NBA commercial... If it ever was used in a commercial it certainly wasn't created for one. Rjd2's music is sample-based so I wouldn't be surprised if that funky horn riff was first recorded on some 70's funk album. But that is irrelevant. Anyways the album rocks so go buy it or download it or whatever. Oh and yes, this flash is a riot. My only gripe is that the sound seems to get progressively more out of sync as the animation continues (I notice this in a lot of flashes). Could this be some kind of time code issue? I don't use flash but I know a lot about audio. Perhaps the audio FPS is running faster than the video? When the freezer door opens and closes it is particularly evident. I don't think this is a spotting issue. But regardless the sound design on this is outstanding. The design is so good that I don't even mind the outrageous distortion. Perhaps the level is a tad hot? I wonder if it would have the same impact if the audio was clean though. I like the dirty, raw feel of the whole thing. Alright. This rambling review went on far too long and all I really wanted to do was say what song it was.
