It was really cool...until the end.
Overall the video was cool...but you lost class points at the end with Mario giving everyone the finger and soiling himself? Not funny at all.

I loved this entry! I have been to newgrounds for the past year or so. I have loved all the work here (except for the crappy ones that happen to slip through.) I can't wait to see the *Suprise endings*
Funniest shit I've seen Randy do.
This is Randy's best movie to date. It just beat out the Altered Beast one. I found it sad that people are bitching because he is better than them and he's number one. You all should just shut the hell up and use this to make yourself better.

In response to the last genius who bashed this flash, just several comments...Xiao Xiao 3 and everything else are just fighting films too. Done in style? Xiao Xiao 3 is done in more style than this? Have you any idea how difficult and long it is to extract all the graphics from ROMs to make this flash? What do you want him to do, draw Mario and Sonic himself? That'd be queer. Instead, it seems more like the real thing due to him using the original graphics. The amount of effort gone into this is huge. I can tell you I hear sound effects in this from atleast 5 different video games. It's not like he made this overnight. Why don't you research something before you begin to bash it, you fruitcake? Let's see you make a flash half this good. And Randy does deserve his #1 spot, due to the effort gone into the flash, and plus more is coming due to 2 more endings. Foolish critics like you make me laugh at the idiocy of some people.

I'd be lying if I said one of the reasons I find this crappy is that this one beat my game Another Weird Ordeal to the number 1 spot in game of the week. THIS IS NO GAME AND I DESERVE THAT SPOT! (right, I know you thought "Movie / Interactive film" but agree, this shoulda been entered as a movie! you make one single choice...and you become game of the week!)
right, now that the anger, irritation and envy part is taken care of, for the film:
Nice graphics, obviously, but did you make them on your own? NO! Yeah yeah, you cut it out from the games which is a real shitjob. the only thing you did was Mario's hands when he's looking surprised (if that what it's supposed to look like). And I think that looked stupid.
Animation is kind of smooth, but I feel there's something missing when Sonic is doing his spin attack. And the slow motion thing, when Sonic's attacking Mario or something...that looks crappy, he's too poorly animated.
As for the music, it's perfect. Not a hard choice really. Sound FX are perfectly timed.
Now for something else. Randy, I understand you're proud of being number 1, but do you really think you deserve it? Sure, you've put quite some work into this, but all in all it's just (another brick in the wall, sorry, couldn't help myself) some blokes beating each other up. Look at Genyu's Blade and Xiao Xiao 3. Blokes beating each other up, but done with tons more style and better looking graphics (their own graphics too). Sure, it's not a bad flash, and it's not your "fault" it's in the top 50, you only made something people like. But you should not pretend that you've made something wonderful, "hey people, help me defending this piece of art from all bashers". reason for all the bashers voting X or 0 is that they don't think it's worth the attention it's got. Hell, I don't think it deserves the attention but I decided to vote with my heart (3). Of course, you can't undo what's been done. This one will remain in at least the top10, I bet. But it's really not worth it.
