Just as good as I remember
It's been a long time since i've been on NG and this series is the first one I wanted to check out to see if ep.11 had been made yet. It was and it was good you get a 5/5 from me. I'll admit though I didn't know what to expect since I had read that cryo doesn't have time to animate anymore :( but you picked up right where he left off and did a great job to boot. As always love the series and for all of those who actually care SOUJIN3 IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant
the series was brilliant man the graphics amazed me the sound did too the monty python thing was funny as hel o yea please finish this im loking forword too it
Chrono Trigger Agent.
It was the passing of an era, where the style of the flash changes somewhat, and takes on a whole new dimension. For ten episodes, we'd seen the world get put upon Chrono almost unilaterally, and now we have the credit-theme...which happens to be the opening to Paranoia Agent. I approve of this. To all who've seen that show and played this game, I think you can figure out why that's funny.
Now then, ummm...geez, there's so many cameos in this damn thing, including three characters from 8-Bit Theater. Kudos for Benny Hill. Moments like that are made of notorious awesome. And the 4-D stairways are like... Anyone here seen the second Cube movie? If you have, you know what I mean when I say it's like that.
Anyway, this is like a 'next season', practically, to CTU. Enjoying it? Yes-now!
I'll be responding to most of your reviews today, or at least the ones to the episodes that I submitted. I got the idea for the Paranoia Agent credits while looking at the sprite sheet for Crono, it suddenly dawned on me when I realized that Crono's laugh animation reminded me of something (and Adult Swim had just aired Paranoia Agent earlier that summer). It wouldn't be a Benny Hill Chase sequence without a ton of cameos, y'know. Sorry, can't say that I've seen Cube. Cryo and I also refer to this as the beginning of Season 2, as well.
^_^
This was definitely a mildly disconcerting break from the previous episodes, but the Paranoia Agent ending theme more than made up for it.
I'm glad you liked the credits. The disconnect was inevitable with production changing hands. Also, one of the two original writers - Cryo's roommate from College - was also no longer present at this time. Since then, we've tried harder to recapture more of the original feel.
