better than most feature length films i've seen...
astounding. amazing. utterly fabulous!
Graphics: by far outclasses any animation I have EVER seen. I thought the backgrounds were great, and the use of focus was impressive.
style: marvelous. The speed and pacing, slow and lingering rather than too fast or choppy, sort of reminded me of miyazaki films (he directed 'princess mononoke' and spirited away-both excellent movies)
sound: the sound quality in itself was really good. I think that it shows great skill that no words were required to tell the story (except for at the end) not only do they not seem the 'talking' types, but the creator has made them expressive enough that they don't need voices.
violence: just enough, not too much. blood and gore and guts would have been out of place.
humour: i don't think this was mainly supposed to be funny, but it had enough moments to keep it light. like the spider thing. and the rock thing.
overall: This was an all - around fine piece of work, and I'm glad i watched it. The creators really accomplished something here in that they took the time to give the characters characters, which makes people like me actually care if the big bigfoot finds the kid, or if the, um, goat thing (what is he to be called?) gets 'stolen' at night. the only problem I could think of would be in not following up on the promised 'to be continued'
I can't wait!
