True talent
True artistic talent is rare, I do believe Adam Phillips has a good, strong dose of it.
Everything from the Brackenwood series is more like a movie and less like a cartoon. "Camera" angles are used, different kinds of shots and close-ups add dramatic effect, and the story lines are inspired.
In addition, this one involves a created language. It isn't quite the level of Esperanto, or even Quenya in the way of artificial languages, but anyone who has the insanity and balls to attempt such a feat as creating a language as original as this has a good vote in my book.
