Why is this scored so low?
This is OUTSTANDING! the amount of work you put into this must have been harsh. Everything you did in this flash animation was amazing!
Not only was the animation jaw dropping, it was very interesting with the fighting and entertained me very much. The animation was awesome once again, and the design of the begining and end was very good.
Please give me some pointers with your special effects! I'd really appreciate it.
Wasn't going to even rate it, but...
I got linked here, and although I have a Newgrounds ID, I hadn't planned on signing in to rate it, but after watching it, I just had to leave this review. It was VERY well-done, the animation was smooth and seemed effortless, which knowing the amount of work that actually did go into it, is saying something. Often these hybrid game movies are simply superimpositions of the fighers into the other game, and the only real thing the animator did was control hit location. The camera work was great, and the "Matrix moments" of slow-down to show particularly impressive strike/block sequnces was great. The "Moon meeting" was a bit cliche, but was executed well.
The backstory was a bit thin, but with all the work that went into just making this thing work, that's totally understandable. It still made you root for Ryu, so it did its job.
I literally laughed out loud at Liu Kang, and being the only real joke (at least it seemed like a bit of a gag to me) in the ani, it really delivered.
Great job overall. Really great work.

This movie was FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! Great music, awesome fight scenes, and an overall great story!!!! And for humor, when Liu Kang got hit by a hadoken! rofl! Heck, this would be great as a real movie man! I give this a 10/10!
