You are my new sprite hero.
Let me say that you are now one of the greatest sprite flash artists I've seen in a long time.
I was literally on the edge of my seat at the end of the battle, seeing Ryu and Scorpion evenly matched like that. Why? Well, let me say the answer. It's because you somehow make the animation so fluid, that it looks like actual gameplay from a game.
Having Ryu have a relationship with Sakura also made me happy, mostly because I can't stand it when people say that Ryu and Chun Li are meant for each other, when they barely even know each other. Would've been flippin' sweet to see Ryu go Satsui no Hadou.
Another thing I really loved was when Ryu was in the brink of death, out of nowhere comes Gouki (Akuma) and beats the crap out of Scorpion. Heh. Would've been nice to see him finish off Scorpion with a Shun Goku Satsu... But then again, Shun Goku Satsu basically brings the person into the pits of hell and kills their soul... But Scorpion's dead to begin with, and bringing him to hell would do nothing to him... Well, there was Kongou Kokuretsu Zan to choose from. But either way, I wasn't expecting that at all, and I must say, you my friend, are a great man.
The music was fabulous, just like the first (I love Moonlit Wilderness from Tekken 5, so that got you points for the first one), having such a dramatic feel to it. The main menu also had such a great song as well. I believe it was from Final Fantasy X2. The sound effects were absolutly superb. Very fluent with the animation and it was pulled off perfectly.
One thing I did find funny was how Ryu just takes a peek and says, "I saw a Chinese dude and a Yellow Ninja." That made me crack up in a way, since Ryu would most likely not say that at all.
And one last thing I must say to those who are bashing this flash like idiots.
1. It's kinda obvious that Mortal Kombat characters are stronger than Street Fighter characters.
In the first one, if it was really based on the canon storyline, Raiden would definetly win the match. Why? Well, put it this way. Ken is a human street fighter. Raiden is a friggin Thunder God.
In this one, if this was also based on storyline, Scorpion would definetly win, since he can't be killed.
2. For those saying that Scorpion got repetetive with his moves, blame Midway, since he doesn't have that much of a variety as Ryu does in 3rd Strike.
I shall now saw my farewell. I love these series. Please continue, for I am a huge fan of your work.
Excellent, as usual.
When I first saw MK vs SF I was amazing...the battles are amazing, and feel like they have real power behind them, and flow effortlessly (despite the amount of effort you must've put into this!) Style gets an easy 10. The music is again inspired.
So far the only real problem I have with it the more favorable characterization being given to the SF characters, though I admit I am more of a MK fan myself, so I might be biased. Still, though, it's obvious that some characterization (Liu Kang, and Raiden) is off. Not to mention that Raiden would kick Ken's ass any day. Not that I have a real problem though - the fight scenes are still amazing!
MK vs SF 3 can't come fast enough.
Wow. I love it!
Guess I should review this, since I've watched it four or five times now. The action is very smoothly assembled and the characters look great together. The fight had depth and was very interesting, although Scorpion gets a little repetitive (people don't seem to realize, it's not really your fault here - old MK characters only have three or four moves max and Scorpion's hook was always his best weapon.)
I gotta say, it seems weird that Ryu wouldn't win, since story-wise he's gotta be one of the strongest SF characters, but then again Scorpion's a super ninja from hell. Evil Ryu, though... that'd be sweet if he flipped out and went Evil mode on an MK character. ^^
The music went really well with things, the sound effects were great. The story was good, lately I skip the beginning most of the time when I watch this, but it's pretty good as far as these things go. A couple funny parts like Liu Kang getting nailed by the Hadouken give it bonus points.
All in all one of the best Flashes I've seen on here. Nice work!
