Maybe i got my information wrong but i thought Sakura was Ryu's little sister? And im going to say Akuma saved Ryu because its one of those "The only person that has the permission to kill you is me" kind of thing. Well even bitter enemies have honor, though Ken has settled down in some city somewhere so i guess Sakura had to go to Akuma or something.
