Funny yet...

nice song pretty catchy ;) ONly thing is I wouldent consider baumsworld stealing. Its just hosting videos and such that can be found all around the web on many different sites. The only difference is they are somewhat organized and all together on that site. Now if he was to sell the videos or somthing that would be a different story. Hes not making the money because the videos are on the site... his making money because of adds displayed on his site. Sure people visit the site because of the videos and other content on the site but they are not the way he is making money. He'd be making money because he spread the word of his site, got people to visit it, and evertualy put ads on it.

I don't see anything wrong with that. But i guess there will always be people who think its considered theft.

Just think about this. You make a flash movie. Some bodies sees it and writes about it on their website saying "hey check out this cool flash movie this guy made. Click here to see it." Now think about it if he links the link to your site or if he hosts the movie on his site what really is the difference??? Eihter way your getting exposure on your work. People will know you did it. Who cares if hes hosting the file on his site saves you on bandwidth.

Either way I'm not argueing your point of view. I just dont agree :D

altffour responds:

he doesn't give credit and if there were no flash movies to display he wouldn't get ad exposure and he wouldn't make any money

YESS!!!

You know, I never really liked Ebaum's world because their content was (and is) crap. I never knew that they stole other people's work like that! Lol I've never heard of SomethingAwful but I'll check it out. The animation was good and funny (Especially the part where you called him a slut). So....how can we bring Ebaum down (besides not going to his site)? I'd like to know so I can help! FIGHT THE MACHINE!

From a Former eBaum Fan

Opened my eyes, fo shizty. The song was great, and I downloaded the mp3 from the link on the flash. Somethingawful was something I got introduced to when I was a freshmen in college from my roommate (in 2000). I couldn't stomach the content because all the stuff he showed me was pretty fucking sick.

The lyrics were fucking awesome and the message hit home because of the way it was executed.

ENROLL FOR MORE BANDWIDTH SO WE CAN FIND OUT ABOUT YOUR CD! (Exceeded bandwidth limit error each time I try!)

I have now a reason not to go there

I now understand that Ebaum is stealing money from others and I will try to help make him get poor. Don't know why I'm hooked to this. Maybe it's cuz you're pissed or its just the song but I am convinced. I'll try to place this flash on my site! GJ guys( or guy)

I like the message...

Though i highly doubt the flash will get very much done, I'm glad that someone is getting the message out. Ebaums is ok for some things, but the stuff he steals is a problem.

I've got one thing to point out that people defending ebaums should take note of. It's not necessarily the fact that he's hosting the stolen flash; It's the fact that he has become a millionare off of the hard works of others without their permission. Tom Fulp, the creator of newgrounds, Worked his ass off to get this site where it is today. He only allows the original author to submit content, and even does a great deal of flash work on his own.

If it were a matter of just posting content for viewing purposes, like many websites do, than there's really no problem. That's just fans wanting other people to see the flash cartoons. But making millions of dollars based on unwilling participation of the actual artists is illegal. If the ACTUAL CREATOR of the flash gives permission, it's ok. If someone sends it to him, it's not. He either needs to give part of the profit to the artists he took from or take the requested stolen content off of the site. Simple as that.

As for the flash, Just enough animation to keep it going, and the song , though crude, got the message across, which is what you were intending anyway. Good overall job. If nothing else, this should help people boycott ebaums.
