Reviews for "Jot + Jab Episode 1"
Jokes were quite immature....but good animation.
I'm sorry but it seems a bit like you think you're funny, but your jokes are rather immature and weak. Maybe it's meant to be like that? I don't know. I hope that in future episodes you can mature the jokes a bit more and move on from the "it's funny to a guy who has nothing better to do than dream about women". Dirty jokes are fine, but it gave me the above feeling more than the dirtyness.
Anyways, I do not want you to think I am insulting you. I liked it a lot and I think you have a really great animating style. I loved your sound and I thought the whole storyline ran very smoothly. Like somebody else said in a review, it was like watching Futurama. I believe that's because it had that same feeling of a well developed story that unfolded within a short amount of time. Good job on that!
I also liked how the story was partly interactive. Although I don't think the overall plot of them going to the contest would have changed had I not chosen for Jab to go to the contest, it was fun all the same, and kept the viewer attached to the story. In fact, I wish you could add more of those in to the next one. I assume you are doing another episode since it's a series? Well I look forward to it! Great job overall, just maybe get somebody else to do the jokes? Or change the style of the jokes if you believe you can be maturely funny. Keep it up mate.
Ground breaking
You don't see many truly good interactive movies. I was very impressed. It keeps you involved in the story. It was funny and looked good, the sound was great too. Especially loved the cheesy music that sounded like it was from sonic the hedgehog.
Good job on this.
When you choose to spend the $100 at the bar it reminded me of me and my pals last summer :]
