NES version IS better, but...

Well, let's be honest! This is in F&#%ing Flash. Well done on the getting the mechanics down right. And you made the enemies smart enough to gang up on you, and to go pick up weapons dropped from their friends. Very cool! I could stand to learn a thing or two from you.

Now, there some flaws, but they're rather minor.

1. I didn't care for the blood. RCR was a comical beat-em-up - you don't the gore to make it a good game.
2. Why isn't Alex wearing a school uniform like the others. He's a student too, isn't he. And for that matter, where's Ryan? Make the player able to choose.
3. Too short. He he! Truth is, I liked what I saw, but it was not enough. At least throw in the first shopping center.

All of that said, very excellent demo. I know it's over 3 years old, but I hope you plan on making another.

first of all in river city ransom there is no blood and razorik you could throw stuff in the in river city ransom anyways and i no because i have the game amd u cant jump like like u can in the normal game and only 2 areas i agree with usorname the only cool thing about this is that there were blur effects which were not in the game

But only 2 area's!? And besides, whats the point of money in this game? Either make this into a fullblown River City Ransom game, or make it into an arena fighting game! :-D Whatever you do though, PLEASE add more weapons. I mean only brass knuckles and a (hard to find) baseball bat!? WTF!!!
I liked how you added motion blur to the game, and how you make the items throwable. It was funny when I threw some brass knuckles at someone- it looked like it hit his nuts!!! x-D
